I was apprehensive at first with booking Nomad because they popped up randomly on my FB feed. But I was looking for a Filipino or English fluent driver (we’ve had miscommunication issues in the past with non-tagalog or English speaking drivers and I was trying to avoid this), for my family’s personalized itinerary in Japan, and they provided this exact service. Speaking with one of their travel agents (shoutout to Aileen! ) was extremely reassuring and pleasant, and after reading positive reviews about them, it helped solidify my decision to book them.Their booking process is straightforward; an agent is usually available 24/7 and they answer within a reasonable amount of time.

While I was initially upset because they were not able to book us Aoniyoshi train tickets as we agreed on, they did refund us within the day and I believe they did try their best to book these tickets but it was simply out of their hands. It was disappointing, but they immediately suggested different solutions and our plans were not ruined at all. I liked their professionalism and swiftness in handling curveballs that can come in the way even with careful planning.

Jeremy, our assigned driver, was top-notch. He was well prepared, thoughtful and ready to go join us around instead of just staying in the van. He was so mindful of my senior parents and gave us suggestions on things and places to eat and go to, which was extremely helpful as we only had a general idea of places we wanted to see but did not know how long it would take to get there.

I intend to book Nomad again and do mention them whenever a friend or family member will be heading to Japan. They were, honestly, somewhat pricier than other agencies, but they were worth it. I’ve had bad experiences before with other travel agencies that were not flexible in their tour itinerary or could not be bothered to answer a few simple questions I asked. Nomad,however, listened attentively to what I was asking for, discussed different options, offered their expertise willingly and assisted greatly in ensuring our itinerary was smooth and relaxed. I will always be grateful that they assured my family of a wonderful, unforgettable vacation.
